Maria is a performance-driven HR professional and start-up veteran with a proven track record of building high-performing organizations. She has played a pivotal role in the growth of numerous successful companies, including Rumsey Engineers, Integral Group, Building Robotics, Point Energy Innovations, and Sustainabilist.

At Rumsey Engineers, Maria helped transform the company from three people in a garage into an award-winning national firm with six U.S. locations and a staff of 100. She established the firm’s HR and organizational infrastructure, which contributed to multiple industry recognitions, including INC Magazine’s “Top 50 Engineering Companies” (2009), Building Design + Construction’s “Top AEC Firms to Work For” (2009), and one of the first-ever JUST Labels in 2013—a groundbreaking transparency platform for HR and investment practices.

Maria later co-founded Point Energy Innovations, where she helped build the firm into a premier green building design company, ultimately recognized by Google as a Preferred Provider.

As a consultant, Maria has gained broad experience across a wide range of industries. Her portfolio includes work with an international vintner, a multi-location restaurant group with over 400 employees, a global marketing firm with a 45-year history operating in four countries, and a construction company with six decades of success. She has also supported numerous other organizations, including nonprofits, family-owned businesses, S-corporations, LLCs, C-corporations, and start-ups preparing to hire their first employee.
